Doc helps twenty-first century educators faced with the "Service-Learning" task of preparing students to be proficient in their academic disciplines within the broader context of a global society. Doc explores the dynamics of successful engaged learning based on the effective partnerships between students, faculty, community, agencies, administrators, disciplines, and more. He focuses on relevant examples and how theories and practices can inform and improve such partnerships, connections, civic engagement and collaborations.
